72 volt Vintage Electric Bikes
Built in Santa Clara, California, the 72 volt is a line of retro looking electric bikes made by Vintage Electric Bikes. The 72 volt range includes 3 models: Roadster, Scrambler and Shelby.
The style is reminiscent of 1940s bicycles like those produced by companies like Schwinn or Dayton bicycles. The difference is that today’s bikes are packed with a bunch of modern technology like electric engines, LED lights and digital displays.
The 72 volt electric engine not only offers a 40mph (64km/h) top speed but with its 4000 watt drivetrain, it is capable of full speed during 15% – 20% grade climbs.
The bike has a range of 75 miles (120km) after just a 3 hour charge time. You can extend your ride accessing five power modes that provide more or less help, as you need. The bike with engine only weights 86lbs (39kg).
All 3 models sport powerful regenerative hydraulic disc brakes that slow the bike down under virtually any condition, while simultaneously returning power to the battery. These 3 bikes are built to last and to impress with a beautiful timeless retro design.
