Cobra 427 Super Snake CSX 3015

Coming up for auction, the sole surviving Cobra 427 Super Snake, a Cobra to kill all Cobras. Not only it looks like a real car that makes you want to flip the middle f—-r to all current auto-makers, the CSX 3015 was the most extreme of all Cobras ever built by Shelby Cobra for his personal collection.

The only other sample left, the CSX 3303, was sadly destroyed when his owner took a flight to heaven by driving off a cliff into the Pacific Ocean. A hell of a way to go.

The CSX 3015 was originally 1 of 23 Cobras 427 competition models that were built in 1965. In 1967, this particular unit was turned into a Super Snake, meaning that it was upgraded with two Paxton superchargers, bringing the former V8 to 800hp and making the engine otherworldly.

Yet, in 1970 Shelby blew its engine in a Nevada road race and sold it to songwriter Jimmy Webb. Barrett-Jackson auction house will sell the car during its Scottsdale, Arizona event in March 2021.
