Rolex Explorer II ref. 226570

Of all the updated models introduced by Rolex in 2021, the watch that attracted the most attention was the Rolex Explorer II ref. 226570. Replacing former ref. 216570, the major upgrade is the new 70 hours power reserve in-house GMT movement, caliber 3285.

The 42mm case is slightly different but still 42mm wide with a fixed stainless steel 24h bezel, unlike the most popular Rolex GMT-Master II that sports a ceramic rotating bezel. Water resistance is 100 meters, and crystal is sapphire.

Rolex offers the Explorer II 226570 in two versions; white dial or black dial. The black hands on the white dial model are now in matte finish and the lume in both models is a brighter formulation of the Chromalight luminous material.

Another major upgrade is the 3 link bracelet, broader than the previous one with a 5mm comfort extension link which can be folded out of the deployant clasp. Check it out on rolex.com.
