James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 Continuation

As you probably know, Aston Martin has been building Continuation Cars since 2017 and now is producing the DB5 Goldfinger Continuation, meaning that $3.6m will buy you James Bond’s car with all working Q’s toys.

That’s right. Not only you get a brand new DB5 but you also get a pair of simulated Browning machine guns that pop out (they can be aftermarket worked out), battering rams front and rear, flipping licence plates, tyre slashers, rear bulletproof shield, oil slick spray (it actually sprays water bur it can be re-charged aftermarket, too), smoke screen, under-seat tray for storing your trusty Walther PPK, bluetooth enabled telephone receiver in a door pocket and, radar detector and gadget control unit.

The only toy left is the passenger ejector seat, probably for the best. There is an optional removable roof panel at customer’s request, though.

The car is built true to the 1960s era. It has unassisted brakes, unassisted steering, an glourious old school 4.0-liter inline-six 290hp engine, 5 speed Borg Warner gear box.

A dream come true for hardcore James Bond fans but there is a serious drawback. Q’s toys make the car not road legal in any country of the world except for failed states. Check it out on astonmartinworks.com
