Technics SU G700M2 stereo integrated digital amplifier
This not what it looks. The Technics SU G700M2 is a pure digital amplifier with retro looks. In classic analog amps, digital signals would be converted to analogue before reaching the main circuit. The SU G700M2 on the contrary, turns all analog inputs to digital from the get go with its Burr-Brown PCM1804 converters.
The amplification process is purely digital, with no warm analog coloration. Just transparent sound 70W+70W Class D output.
On the other side, you won’t find services like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or Spotify Connect, which standards will be outdated sooner or later. Just classic analog and digital inputs and outputs.
Inputs include a USB port, 2x optical, 2x coaxial, 2x analogue line in and a quality phono stage, to let you plug in a record player. Outputs are a classic binding posts (4-16 Ohms) for stereo speakers plus 2 coaxial pre outs. Besides there is a purist Class AA headphone amplifier on the front.
The unit is housed in an elegant 1970s retro looking aluminum casing with cool dual light-up VU meters. Available in silver or black.
