Austin Healey 100/4 BN1 Caton Restomod
Austin Healey’s are dreamy roadsters produced by the renowned British auto maker between 1952 and 1972. The latest restomod by Caton is amazing.
Taking an original Austin Healey 100/4 BN1, Caton has added a new pedal box, new headlights, a brand new grille, new bumpers, a restyled rear and removed boot hinges. The cars are refinished as they come with a superb paintwork.
The whole interior is luxuriously updated with fine leather upholstering . There is a new cockpit, quite classy with just a few instruments, a start button, 5 gauges and a USB port in a tray behind the shifter stick.
The chassis is replaced with a new one. Then, the original 3.0 four cylinder engine is completely updated and fine tuned to 185hp with a new ported head, steel crank, high compression pistons, twin SU carbs, a competition camshaft and other refinements. Transmission is replaced with a new 5 speed stick. Suspension is stock but with brand new dampers for a smoother ride.
The result is a beautiful classic British roadster, that looks and behaves like a real vintage sports car. The only downside is there is no option of a roof, the price will set you back £500.000 in the UK and initially, only 25 units will be built.
