Laco flieger A and B, Augsburg Oliv 42 and Aachen Oliv 42
WWII German fliegers, A-uhren and B-uhren, or Type A and Type B, are a must have in every watch collection and Laco was one of the 5 original makers contracted by the German government back in the war time, still producing these classic models in several case sizes and finishes.
The new thing about Augsburg Oliv 42 and Aachen Oliv 42 42mm is the patinated case. Laco treats the 42mm stainless steel case with a unique process to emulate the look of aged bronze, resulting in a striking aged military look on both models.
Both watches come with domed sapphire crystal, sapphire display caseback and water resistance of 50 meters, classic oversized crown, light khaki “old radium” lume and no date dial.
Movement is automatic Miyota 821A-based Laco 21 with a power reserve of 42h, 21,600 bph beat rate skeleton rotor and striped finishing across the bridges and balance cock. Entry price is only $540 each, money in the bank for a limited edition.
What flieger is for me? Type A or Type B? You’re going to love both, believe me. Once you get one, you’ll want the other. Check them out on Laco-watches.com.
