Oris Aquis Depth Gauge

An automatic watch with a built in depth meter? The swiss watch maker’ solution is a small hole at 12 o’clock in the sapphire crystal that allows to enter water into a channel carved around the edge of the glass.

When water pours inside, it fills part of the channel, marking the depth that can be read in the yellow scale around the watch dial. Simple but effective. The dial is lumed with Superluminova BG W9.

The 45.8mm stainless steel housing features a case back with a meters to feet conversion chart that is always set at 90 degrees to the 12 o’clock position so the diver can easily read it.

Also, the Aquis comes with a new patented Quick Strap Change system that allows owners to switch the stainless steel metal bracelet and rubber strap quickly by themselves.

Last but not least, the movement is an in-house Oris 733 Swiss automatic movement with 38-hour power reserve. Check it out on Oris.ch.
